This trip offer offers some of the best cold water diving on the planet. From fields of strawberry anemones and clusters of crimson lipped gooseneck barnacles. Look closely and don’t miss the colorful sculpins, giant nudibranchs, sunflower and basket stars and cephalopods galore. Visit Browning Wall, Dillon Rock and Seven Trees. Browning Wall’s sheer rock face plunges to a dizzy 300 feet or the small island of Seven Trees offers a current dive. These vertical walls are covered with delicate soft corals, sponges and anemones in brilliant colors rivaling any South Pacific reef. Fish residents are Irish lords with war bonnets adorned, China rockfish, 5-foot ling cods and more. Dillon Rock, a pinnacle with a 60-foot bottom that houses a den of wolf eels. Maybe the ugliest, yet friendliest mugs in the sea. These critters are really fish, not true eels. These guys leave the safe haven of their grotto to brazenly beg for bits of sea urchin, peering into your mask and harmlessly wrapping their 6-foot-long bodies around you. Oh yes, can you say, Octos! *dive sites are subject to weather and ocean conditions. The trip is not limited to just ocean activities. Topside offers the bonus of pelagic marine life. Take advantage of the kayaks. As we travel along the fir-studded shoreline on the 40’ day boat, threading through a maze of small islands, listen for the excited cry, “Orcas spray off the port side!” Keep look out for dolphins riding the bow wake. Bring your binoculars and cameras. Keep watch for the bald eagles in the treetops or the forging bears along the shore. Enjoy hikes on the beach for shelling or strolls through the rainforests.
